New snow has been falling since Sunday night..upwards of 12 inches and still snowing.
Seems more like winter this week, a good base and excellent grooming on all trails. Trails are mapped and marked for self guided tours everyday from 9 am - 4 pm.
Frisco Nordic trail closures: Jody's Nugget (black diamond) lower section, Balfonz Blitz and Buzzsaw (double black diamond). 1/2 Km on Frisco Bay is closed. At Frisco the Olympian's Link and Rush Hill are still open, as well as all other trails.
Ski and snowshoe tours available by day and by night with advanced reservations at both locations.
Good snow conditions at both location for a snowshoe tour through the woods or a cross country ski in the mountains. 30's to mid 40's mid-day. Trails are packed for skating and tracked for classic skiing.
The free sledding hills are closed at Frisco, but could re-open with new snowfall later week.
Join us for a day of fun and festivities on March 28, 2009 for the Breckebeiner 60K Ski-a-thon to benefit the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center at Breckenridge Nordic on Ski Hill Road.
Thank you, The Dayton family
Breckenridge and Frisco Nordic Centers open daily 9-4.
